Contact PatientFi before the due date

PatientFi’s help center asks you to contact its billing team, explain your situation and discuss the options, and to reach out early, “even if you can’t make a payment.”

  • Pay what you can, as early as you can
  • Ask what options apply to your loan
  • Write down who you spoke to and when

Why it matters: patients may be charged late fees, which vary by location, and missed or late payments may be reported to the credit bureaus.

What can happen after a missed payment

No dates or dollar amounts here, because PatientFi says fees vary by location and depend on your agreement. This is the order of events it describes.
